4. Oil-fired units = 1129.8+462.2 = 1,592 MW = 1.67 Nuke 3 #2
5. Wind, solar, water and other renewable energy = 2873.8+14158.6+2123.9+67.9+3220.9 = 22,445.1 MW = 23.6 Nuke 3 #2
If 2+3+4 are shut down and Nuke is built, 35.4 nuclear power plants equivalent to Nuke 3 #2 will be built; if 2+3+4+5 are shut down and Nuke is built, 59 nuclear power plants equivalent to Nuke 3 #2 will be built.
There are 22 county-level administrative regions in Taiwan. On average, each county-level city will build 1.61 to 2.68 nuclear power plants, which means 2 to 3 nuclear power plants per county-level city. We need places to store high, medium, and low-level nuclear waste. Whether living next to a nuclear power plant or sleeping next to nuclear waste, everyone can sleep with Nuke. Is this the life that nuclear power advocates want to live?
I am anti-nuke. I have been against Nuke since I was a student at National Tsing Hua University, the only university in Taiwan with a nuclear engineering department. The nuclear reactor was next to the female dormitory, and biochemical experiments often involved the use of radioactive chemicals. I've always been aware that we have to be very careful with these radioactive materials. Many of my college classmates died of cancer at their young age. I don't want to live next to a nuclear power plant, nor do I want to sleep next to nuclear waste.
1. I cannot accept nuclear power plants until the methods and sites for the back-end disposal of nuclear waste are resolved.
2. Taiwan is situated on several crustal faults, experiencing numerous earthquakes. I cannot accept nuclear power plants until it is confirmed that an earthquake of magnitude 7 or above and a tsunami near a nuclear power plant will not affect the safety of the nuclear power plant.
3. Nuclear power plants will reduce load or shut down when the cooling water temperature is higher than 25-30 degrees Celsius to reduce damage to the aquatic ecology and avoid damage caused by poor cooling efficiency. Currently, the Earth continues to warm, and the seawater temperature in Taiwan is often higher than or close to 30 degrees Celsius in summer. I cannot accept nuclear power plants until other cooling methods that do not require seawater, river water, or air can be found.

如果將2+3+4都關掉而改建核三廠#2,要蓋35.4座相當於核三廠#2的核能電廠;如果將2+3+4+5都關掉而改建核三廠#2,要蓋59座相當於核三廠#2的核能電廠。
全臺灣有22個縣市級行政區域,平均每個縣市要蓋1.61~2.68座核電廠,4捨5入,每個縣市蓋2~3個,還要有儲存高中低階核廢料的地方。不論是住在核電廠旁邊,或是睡在核廢料旁邊,大家都可以擁核而眠,這就是擁核人士想要過的生活嗎?
我反核,從在全國唯一有核工系的清大念書時就反核,原子爐就在女生宿舍旁邊,生化實驗常常要用放射性化學物質做實驗,我一直都很清楚我們必須很小心對待這些放射性物質。我的大學同學多人年紀輕輕就死於癌症。我不想住在核電廠旁邊,也不想睡在核廢料旁邊。
1. 核廢料後端處置的方式及場地沒有解決前,我不可能接受核能發電。
2. 臺灣位在多地震的許多地殼斷層上面,在還沒有確認當核電廠旁邊發生7級以上地震及海嘯時不會影響核電廠安全前,我不可能接受核能發電。
3. 由於核電廠在冷卻水溫度高於攝氏25-30度時就會降載或關閉,以減少對水域生態的傷害及避免因冷卻效率變差而造成危害,地球持續升溫的情況下,臺灣夏天最熱最需要發電時的海水溫度常常超過或接近攝氏30度,在能找到其他不需要用海水、河水、空氣冷卻的方式前,我不可能接受核能發電。
